The Tennessee Center for Patient Safety’s (TCPS) spring meetings will focus on quality and patient safety through the lens of the aging patient.
With more than half of hospital patients being age 65 years or older, understanding the unique needs and challenges associated with caring for these patients is essential. Experts in geriatric care and palliative medicine will lead sessions on assessing frailty, unique risks, patient choice and quality of life. Peer hospitals also will share their successful strategies in preventing falls, pressure injuries and adverse drug events.
The meetings will be held at the following locations:
- May 7: The Great Hall and Conference Center, Memphis
- May 14: Jubilee Banquet Facility, Knoxville
- May 20: THA Office in Brentwood, Nashville
