MRSA Prevention Action Plan Kickoff Workshop – August 20

Tennessee Center for Patient Safety is hosting a one-day workshop on Tuesday,  August 20, 2019 to kick off our MRSA prevention action plan. The workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn from national, state and local experts on proven strategies to prevent hospital-onset MRSA. Dr. Susan Huang, a national expert on MRSA prevention strategies and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine will be the main workshop speaker.

The target audience for the workshop includes ICU physician and nursing leaders, front-line nursing staff, surgical services leaders, chief nursing officers, infection preventionists, quality leaders, wound care nurses, and pharmacists. The program will be held at THA in Brentwood and will begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. The workshop is free of charge, and lunch will be provided. Attendees from THA partner hospitals are eligible for mileage reimbursement (for those traveling >50 miles one way) and one night’s hotel stay (up to $200).
