THA Recognizes Rep. Esther Helton-Haynes as a 2023 Hospital Hero

The Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) honored Rep. Esther Helton-Haynes (R-East Ridge) as a 2023 THA Hospital Hero for her dedication and work on behalf of hospitals in Tennessee.

THA Hospital Hero Awards recognize lawmakers who prioritize policy issues that contribute to the health and wellness of all Tennesseans through their support for hospitals. Rep. Helton-Haynes was presented the 2023 award at Erlanger Baroness Hospital, with hospital and Erlanger leadership in attendance.

“Representative Helton-Haynes has demonstrated a keen ability to lead on very difficult political issues for the betterment of Tennessee’s citizens and healthcare providers,” said Wendy Long, M.D., THA president and CEO. “We are grateful for her willingness to tackle tough issues while prioritizing the health and welfare of our state.”

As chair of the House Insurance Subcommittee and a member of the Health Committee, Rep. Helton-Haynes is dedicated to ensuring access to quality care for patients at Tennessee hospitals, including Erlanger.
