With the legislative session now in full swing, Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) is gearing up to launch We Care We Vote – a statewide initiative to empower and educate hospital employees about policy issues affecting hospitals and the importance of active involvement in the 2020 election cycle.
By harnessing the power of Tennessee’s more than 106,000 hospital employees as informed voters, we can fully show elected officials and candidates how much hospitals care – for patients, communities, and state and local economies.
The We Care We Vote campaign officially will launch on Feb. 24 and 25 as part of THA’s Annual Legislative Day on the Hill.
The legislators elected in 2020 will make important decisions during their time in office in a number of areas, including the future of healthcare and, ultimately, the future of Tennessee’s hospitals.
Hospitals are encouraged to join the campaign and pledge to elevate their advocacy efforts throughout the state legislative session and the election cycle that follows. By coalescing hospital employees, physicians, trustees, vendors and volunteers on the priority issues for hospitals, THA can make the collective voice of our industry louder than ever before.
The first step will be for hospitals and health systems to pledge to be part of We Care We Vote and identify a facility or system captain, who will serve as the primary point of contact and local leader for the campaign. You can make the pledge and designate your facility or system captain by clicking the button below.
More information regarding the campaign and next steps will be shared in the coming weeks, so be on the lookout for more news on We Care We Vote!
