Laboratory Arrangements and Rural Hospital Survival 2.0

June 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Event Navigation

It has been less than two years since the state audit of a rural Missouri hospital, and a law suit filed by an insurance company in Pennsylvania, exposed a proliferation of certain lab management arrangements with rural hospitals. Much has happened in that time. Insurance companies have revised payment policies, the financial viability of rural hospitals has continued to decline, and opioid legislation has impacted the structure of legitimate lab management arrangements. This webinar will review and update the arrangements that exposed the issue, will look at the response by insurance companies and the impact of new federal legislation, and will discuss what hospitals should consider when evaluating a new lab management arrangement.
