The Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) honored Sen. Ed Jackson (R-Jackson) as a 2024 THA Hospital Hero for his dedication and work on behalf of hospitals in Tennessee.
THA Hospital Hero Awards recognize lawmakers who prioritize policy issues that contribute to the health and wellness of all Tennesseans through their support for hospitals. Sen. Jackson was presented the 2024 award at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, with hospital and West Tennessee Healthcare leadership in attendance.
“For nearly a decade, Sen. Jackson has been a champion for hospitals and access to rural healthcare for Tennesseans,” said Wendy Long, M.D., THA president and CEO. “His heart for public service and the kind and principled way in which he approaches difficult issues have significantly impacted his district and the citizens of Tennessee.”
As a long-time member of the Senate Health and Welfare and Government Operations Committees, Sen. Jackson is continually at the forefront of policy and regulatory issues that impact Tennessee hospitals, including West Tennessee Healthcare.
