2025 Legislative Session and Report

The first regular session of the 114th General Assembly adjourned on Tuesday, April 22nd. After beginning the year with a special session to address school choice and disaster relief, the legislature moved at a rapid pace over a nine-week period to conclude business for 2025. This year marked an exceptionally successful session for THA and its members, with lawmakers supporting several important legislative priorities and financial support for hospitals. For the third year in a row, the administration and legislature approved crucial budget funding, helping to move THA’s agenda forward and reinforcing support for hospitals across the state.

THA’s 2025 Legislative Report focuses exclusively on legislation that was passed this year, highlighting measures supported by THA or those beneficial to hospitals. THA has also prepared a comprehensive 2025 Bills of Interest report, which provides an overview of the status of legislation tracked this year by the Association.
