2021 THA BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTED

Paul Korth, CEO at Cookeville Regional Medical Center, was installed as chairman of the THA Board of Directors during the Association’s virtual Annual Meeting.

Korth has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. Before being named CEO in2013, he served as the hospital’s chief financial officer for 13 years. A member of the THA Board of Directors for many years, he also was appointed by Gov. Bill Haslam to serve a three-year term on the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency.

THA chairman-elect is Jason Little, president and CEO at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation, Memphis. He is only the fifth president in Baptist’s long history, and under his leadership, Baptist has grown from a 14-hospital system to a 22-hospital, $3.1 billion integrated healthcare system with 18,000 team members and more than 5,000 affiliated physicians.

James Ross, president and CEO at West Tennessee Healthcare, Jackson, and the 2019-2020 THA chairman, now is the immediate past chairman.

Tim Adams, president and CEO at Ascension Saint Thomas, Nashville, and James VanderSteeg, president and CEO of Covenant Health, Knoxville, each were re-elected to new terms in their current at-large representative positions on the board. Rogers Anderson, a trustee at Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, also was re-elected to a new term as a trustee-hospital governance representative.

Matt Schaefer, president and CEO at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Knoxville, was elected to finish out the term of the at-large representative position vacated by Keith Goodwin, who recently retired from that hospital.

Wright Pinson, M.D., CEO at Vanderbilt Health System, Nashville, will move from the THA immediate past chairman position and serve the remainder of the term in the at large representative position that will be vacated by the Little, the new chair-elect.
